Ika Mardianti has the ability as
well as the talent to translate what she experiences
in her life in her heart and soul on to canvas. It
was her world in Malaysia among the rice paddies,
spent mostly in her parents small villa, and her need
to express to the world that first prompted Ika Mardianti
to start canvas painting her way out of an emotional
dilema that threatened to destroy her as a young woman
in her late 20's
Ika through her paintings tells the
world how she felt outcased from her Royal family
due to her love affairs and how she sought to escape
her problems by painting. The canvans painting scetches
helped her get her head around how she was feeling
about herself and her place in her royal family. Never
the less it was painting that enabled her to find
a pathway to feeling connected and to make a contribution
to life on this modern world.
The desire to paint comes
from that exotic inner world of her's. We ask that
if you look closely at her work it is easy to see
how beautiful it is, an emblem of the Royal family
piece of mind. Her surroundings and her love and despair,
failed sex life, is what her paintings is all about.
